JoeKottDr. Joseph Kott has over thirty years of experience in transportation planning at the local, regional, and state geographic scales for both public agencies and private consultancies. Dr. Kott teaches courses in transportation and the environment and planning for sustainable urban and regional transportation as an adjunct faculty member within the San Jose State University Department of Urban and Regional Planning and the Stanford University Program on Urban Studies, where he also serves as Visiting Scholar.

Dr. Kott holds a B.A. from Wayne State University in Detroit, a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, master’s degrees in both transport planning and traffic engineering from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, and a PhD in urban and regional transport planning from Curtin University in Perth, Australia.
